IRIDe was founded in 2007 within the University of Milan, with the aim to create an institutional researches center on decision-making processes.
Coordinated by Gabriella Pravettoni, IRIDe has many individual as well as public and private institutional affiliations and includes researchers coming from different areas of expertise such as psychologists, physicians, economists, computer scientists, and philosophers. This multidisciplinary structure has been revealed fundamental to study the HUMAN DECISION MAKING from different, but strictly interconnected perspectives.
Starting from the academic year 2008/2009, IRIDe has also an active role in the academic organization of the post-degree course on Cognitive Science and Decision Making (SCO) and in the Double Degree Master Course performed in collaboration with the University of Maastricht.
Our mission is to better understand the nature of the human decisions and to apply this knowledge to different fields (psychology, medicine, economics, etc).
